Theory
Prosperity Squared can help you to build better outcomes for yourself and others by helping you to overcome and work through conflict and disagreement. By working with other people, we can all succeed on independent and mutual goals. Fighting, on the other hand, tears our lives, communities, and country apart – it stands in the way of success and happiness.
By understanding people with different goals from ours and working to meet all of our goals together, we can all win. We are all capable of great things - by working on what we have in common, not only will we multiply our success in our own lives, we will create a society we all want to live in – a prosperous, happy one. By helping you build bridges, Prosperity Squared can enable you to achieve your goals, allowing you to do more by working together.
Prosperity Squared
All of us in modern society have deadlines, goals, aspirations, and things we are working on. Agreement building can help us succeed. Think of when communities came together to build each person’s barn - something no individual could do alone - they did it together and celebrated. When we work together, there is nothing standing in the way of our mutual and individual prosperity - no person, no thing, and no resistance. Prosperity Squared can:
01.
–
Work through individual conflicts, like conflicts between neighbors, friends, and family, so that we can live happier and more productive lives, saving money and time.
02.
–
Help us to build bridges, resolve conflict, and find partnerships between non-profits, businesses, and community groups, so that we become more tolerant and our society functions better automatically as a whole and / or to form common positions between different groups so that we can work together as allies to petition our government.
03.
–
Help the government to work more directly and collaboratively with people and organizations in its jurisdiction, to better reflect their voices, meet their expectations, and gain their support.
04.
–
Allow us to celebrate and enjoy our better circumstances.
“A house divided against itself cannot stand.”
Abraham Lincoln | 16th president of the united states
Method
Prosperity Squared builds upon mediation and facilitation methods. For example, deeply listening to and engaging two or more sides of an issue so that people can find common ground and agreement. It is often the case that these parties, groups, or individuals have much more in common than they think but need additional focus and tools to identify that commonality. Prosperity Squared uses techniques that help them to work together, resolve outstanding issues, and build mutual solutions into a contract, set of principles, or policy.
Solutions happen quickly, there is a sense of resolution, and people understand each other and have considerably more respect for each other and joy and relief in their lives. Disputes never have to go to court – or, in the case of public policy – laws and regulations better accomplish the goals of the stakeholders and of society as a whole – those that aren’t undone every year. Working with Prosperity Squared is a win-win for everybody involved as we meet more of the goals that we care about.
