Agreements
Neutrality
Ideally, mediators or agreement-builders are neutral to the outcome or resolution. This usually means they are paid equally by all involved. However, this is not always possible, especially in the case of public policy. Prosperity Squared will opt to stay neutral, regardless of the payment structure. In public policy, this means that we will stay focused on resolving areas of conflict that keep a policy from moving forward.
Confidentiality
Unlike court cases, mediations are able to be private at the parties’ discretion. This may be of benefit to some parties. However, in the case of public policy, more information is shared in the normal course of doing business - Prosperity Squared will work with you to determine what is meant to be confidential in advance and keep that information close.
Good Faith
Prosperity Squared mediates in good faith for the benefit of all involved. Because Prosperity Squared is a mediation service, being paid by the multiple parties is beneficial, not detrimental. While Prosperity Squared will try to identify when stakeholders or parties are not negotiating in good faith, it is not possible for us to guarantee that they are.
Outcomes
Prosperity Squared does not promise any specific outcome, only that greater understanding will result. While we think it is very, very likely you will reach a resolution on some, if not all of your issues, we cannot promise this result. Some parties or stakeholders may not wish to come to the table. However, with conflict resolution, circumstances generally get better.
